Depuis Bastard (2009), sa première mixtape marquante, Tyler, The Creator n’a cessé d’évoluer. Avec Goblin (2011), il impose son style brut et provocateur, lançant officiellement sa carrière. Il affine ensuite son approche avec Wolf (2013) et Cherry Bomb (2015), explorant de nouvelles sonorités.

Flower Boy (2017) marque un tournant plus introspectif et mélodique, suivi de IGOR (2019), où il fusionne rap et R&B expérimental. Call Me If You Get Lost (2021) revient aux influences mixtape, confirmant son statut d’artiste majeur. Dernièrement, Chromakopia (2024) pousse encore plus loin son exploration musicale, mêlant introspection et sonorités audacieuses.
